Text

Cradur.com uses the tinyMCE editor software for editing text on your website.

This is a user-friendly editor with a standard set of controls (on the menu-bar and tool-bar above the text area), similar to the ones used in Microsoft Word etc.

Here is a brief description of the most important controls on the tool-bar:

Undo - this 'undoes' the last change you made.

Redo - this reapplies the last change you undid with the undo button.

This is a dropdown list. Highlight the text you want to be in a certain font, click the little down-arrow to the right of 'Font family', choose the font you want.

Important: Do not use this for general text. The font family and size are usually determined for the whole website in what are known as Cascading Style Sheets. This ensures an even "look-and-feel" to the whole site. This also applies to things like headings.

Important: As for Font Family do not use this for general text.

Insert/Edit Link - To create a link to another web page, highlight the text you want to be the link and click on this button. All you need to add is the url, e.g. http://www.cradur.com, if you want to link to an anchor on the page just place the anchor name at the end of the url prefixed by '#', e.g. http://www.cradur.com/intro.html#para1 . You can choose whether the link opens in the same window (default) or in a new window, and you can optionally add a title - that's the text the browser shows in a little box when your mouse cursor hovers over the link.

To edit these details, just place your cursor on the link in the editor, and click this button again.

Unlink - to remove a link from a piece of text, place your cursor on the text and click this button.

Internal Link - Use this button to insert a link to one of the other pages in the web site.

Highlight the text you want to be the link. When you click on this button a window opens showing all the pages in the web-site, just like on sitemap screen. Simply click on the page you want to link to and the highlighted text on your page will be changed to an internal link.

You can then use the edit link and unlink buttons (above) to manipulate the link (e.g. add a title).

Click on this icon to insert a link to one of your documents.

Table menu - a list of functions for working with tables.

Tables can be useful for displaying information:

Data
  height(cm) weight (kg)
Arthur 1.78 88.1
Brian 1.67 70.3

To insert a table, click on this icon and then click on 'Insert Table'. Hover over the grid that appears to choose the number of rows and columns. When you click the table will be inserted into your text.

When you return to the editor, you can fill your table with data.  Table parameters can be changed subsequently by clicking on this icon again.
